A few days ago I discovered
a tiny being growing
inside me. Two small pink lines on a pregnancy
test accompanied by laugh, tears,
happiness and fear.
A deep joy, but slightly contained by memories of an abortion that still
weighs on my mind. Over 3 years since my failed pregnancy and many events have occurred
in that time. The main one, the one that changed my life, was the birth of my son.
A tender, beautiful and able to get me a smile with just one look boy.
Daniel's arrival into this world demonstrated my ability to have a
proper pregnancy but have not managed to remove my fears about the
possibility of suffering another loss.
The family received the news excited and cannot understand that I did
not express more strongly when I talk about my pregnancy. But it is not due to a
lack of desire to be a mother, it's just the suspicion that my dreams might
be truncated.
There are several people who have inspired me to create this blog:
• A good friend, who advised me to write about my pregnancy to help me release
my fears and make the long wait more entertaining.
• My brother, he told me he hopes I have a daughter because if I
have another son he would not know what to gift me as I already had almost
everything.
These
long months devote to narrate the changes in my body and my mind due to
pregnancy, my feelings, my thoughts, my fears, my happiness ... And I would also
like to talk about more mundane aspects of motherhood as they are gifts that I
would love to get for that beautiful creature coming. That being, boy or
girl ,will inherit most of his brother, but I wish they had gifts that show that
he or she will be as special as it is his/her brother, you will be greeted
with such excitement and love as was your brother.
I would love other mothers shared
with me their pregnancies, their experiences as mothers and I talk
about the special gifts they received for their babies.
